New OverDrive App for Nook

OverDrive announced the release of the free OverDrive Media Console app for NOOK, making it even easier for users to borrow eBooks and audiobooks from Sun Prairie Public Library. With the new OverDrive app, users of NOOK HD, NOOK HD+, NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color can wirelessly borrow eBooks and MP3 audiobooks from the library.


Users can visit the NOOK Store™ to install the free OverDrive Media Console app. The app enables users to locate their library, browse or search their eBook collection and, after entering a valid library card, check out and download the title.  At the end of the lending period, the title simply expires. Storytelling with poet laureate Fabu

Join us for Storytelling with Fabu on Sunday, October 7 at 2pm in the Library Community Room.  All ages are welcome! Sponsored by the Friends of the Sun Prairie Library

Fabu, a gifted poet, is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin—Madison. She is passionate about the ability of each child to learn.  Her enchanting original and unique stories are most often from the perspective of women, children and African Americans. She is wildly creative, which draws the best out of her audiences. This combination of a creative and scholastic background makes her an exceptional poet and storyteller.

Kindle and Nook Now Available for Checkout!



  • Borrowers must be 18 years of age or older, with a valid library card in good standing

  • Available on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Each eReader is preloaded with popular titles

  • Patrons may not add or delete titles from the eReader

  • Loan period is 14 days, no holds or renewals are allowed

  • Overdue fines are $1.00 per day

  • E-Readers MUST be returned to a staff member at the front desk. In order to prevent damage, please DO NOT return them in the book drops.

  • E-Reader kits include the device, carrying kit, protective cover, cable, power adapter, guide and title list.
